Natalia Aponte is a bilingual Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges. Natalia earned her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Montclair State University. She also completed specialized training through the New Jersey Child Welfare Certification Program, including a Substance Use Disorder Fellowship, as well as Rutgers University’s Adoption Certificate Program. Her additional professional training includes trauma response, crisis intervention, domestic violence, mental health, child welfare, and solution-based casework.

Her clinical work includes comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions designed to help clients better understand their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

Throughout her career, Natalia has held numerous leadership and supervisory positions within the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P). Her experience includes supporting children and families during crisis situations, addressing family safety concerns, coordinating community resources, providing case consultation, and advocating for the well-being of vulnerable populations. She has also worked extensively with families navigating complex relationships, parenting challenges, domestic violence, adoption, and significant life transitions.

Natalia approaches therapy from a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based perspective. She recognizes that emotional well-being is often influenced by family relationships, childhood experiences, trauma, culture, and environmental stressors. Her goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients can explore their emotions, strengthen communication, establish healthier boundaries, and develop greater confidence and resilience.

In addition to her clinical experience, Natalia has worked with adolescents and adults within the LGBTQ+ community, providing individualized counseling and supportive services. Her bilingual abilities and extensive experience working with diverse populations strengthen her commitment to providing inclusive, culturally responsive, and individualized mental health care.

Natalia is a clinician with Monarch Counseling Center, where she provides therapeutic support to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, family challenges, and major life transitions. Drawing upon her extensive experience in psychotherapy, family advocacy, crisis intervention, and social work, Natalia is dedicated to helping clients recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, improve their emotional well-being, and work toward meaningful and lasting personal growth.
