Lauren Zavodnick, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience providing compassionate, client-centered care to individuals across diverse clinical settings, including outpatient mental health, addictions treatment, and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a 3.9 GPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Montclair State University.
Lauren has dedicated her career to helping clients achieve meaningful emotional growth, improved self-awareness, and long-term wellness through empowerment, accountability, reflection, and conflict resolution. She utilizes evidence-based and person-centered therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, with experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, addiction, emotional regulation difficulties, and interpersonal challenges.
Currently working as a Mental Health Therapist in private practice, Lauren conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults. She is experienced in utilizing DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, maintaining clinical documentation, and implementing evidence-based interventions designed to facilitate personal growth and behavioral change.
In addition to her outpatient counseling experience, Lauren has worked extensively with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. As a Behaviorist and IHP Coordinator, she conducted behavioral assessments, developed functional behavior analyses and behavior plans, and provided organization-wide staff training on behavior management, treatment planning, and goal development. Her leadership experience also includes policy development, staff supervision, recruitment, and training implementation across multidisciplinary teams.
Lauren’s professional background also includes work in school settings supporting students with autism and special needs, inpatient mental health settings with adolescents, and community mental health services where she facilitated therapeutic groups and individual counseling sessions. These experiences have strengthened her ability to build strong therapeutic relationships while supporting clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Known for her empathetic, supportive, and collaborative approach, Lauren is passionate about helping clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of creating lasting change.
