Kaitlynn Azner, MSW, LSW, is a licensed social worker and mental health professional with extensive experience working with individuals affected by addiction, mental health disorders, trauma, and life transitions. She earned her Master of Advanced Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, where she completed the Advanced Standing Program with a 3.8 GPA, and received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA.
Kaitlynn has dedicated her career to helping individuals work toward healing, recovery, and overall wellness through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Her clinical background includes individual therapy, group counseling, crisis intervention, case management, treatment planning, and psychoeducation. She has extensive experience facilitating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed interventions, relapse prevention, and mental health education groups.
Throughout her work in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, Kaitlynn has demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and clinical skills. She has managed caseloads, conducted assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations, completed treatment planning and discharge documentation, and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality client care. Her experience also includes assisting in program development, staff coordination, and referral management processes.
In addition to her formal education and clinical experience, Kaitlynn has completed extensive advanced training in evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities. Her additional professional training includes Evidenced-Based Approaches to Clinical Supervision; Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Training; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Certification Training; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Internal Family Systems (IFS); Narrative Therapy; Shame-Informed Treatment; treatment approaches for personality disorders, psychosis, disordered eating, binge eating disorder, and addictive behaviors; ethics and risk management in behavioral health; LGBTQ+ affirmative care; and expressive and art-based therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents. She is passionate about ongoing professional development and integrating diverse, evidence-based interventions to meet the unique needs of each client.
Known for her compassionate and approachable style, Kaitlynn values creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She believes strongly in the importance of building trust and rapport while helping individuals develop healthy coping skills, emotional resilience, and sustainable paths toward personal growth and recovery.
