Brian Gamarello, MA, LCADC, CCS, ICCS, brings more than three decades of experience in the behavioral health and addiction treatment field. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served in nearly every capacity—from case worker and counselor to executive director, clinical supervisor, consultant, and program developer—making him a highly respected leader in substance use and mental health treatment. Brian has played a pivotal role in the successful development, licensing, accreditation, and operation of numerous residential, outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), detoxification, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs across New Jersey.

Despite his extensive administrative accomplishments, Brian has never lost sight of what he considers his true calling: working directly with individuals and families seeking hope and healing. He believes that meaningful change begins with a genuine therapeutic connection built on trust, compassion, and respect. His approach combines evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with empathy, authenticity, and practical guidance to help clients navigate life’s challenges.

Brian has extensive experience treating both adolescents and adults across every level of care, including outpatient services, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, and medically supervised detoxification. His clinical expertise includes substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, relapse prevention, life transitions, family dynamics, and long-term recovery. Throughout his career, he has also supervised and mentored countless clinicians, helping to shape the next generation of behavioral health professionals while maintaining an unwavering commitment to high-quality, ethical care.

Brian earned his Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University and is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), and International Certified Clinical Supervisor (ICCS). He is a graduate of the IRETA Leadership Institute and has received numerous professional recognitions, including the Donald Gregg Award for Outstanding Professional and Academic Achievement in Counseling. His expertise has also been featured in national and local media outlets, including ABC, NBC, CNN, The Star-Ledger, The Bergen Record, and WOR-TV.

A proud father of three, Brian understands the importance of resilience, connection, and finding balance through life’s most difficult moments. He is passionate about empowering others to recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and build fulfilling, meaningful lives.
